About

Tepring Piquado, Ph.D. is Senior Director of State and Local Government Relations for the Western U.S. at the Chamber of Progress. She is a veteran policy researcher and professor. She brings recent experience as Chief Policy Director at California Issues Forum providing advisory guidance and analysis on active bills and major issues being considered by California legislators. Previously, she was a senior researcher at RAND Corporation, where she published across a wide range of topics including human-machine systems, DNA sequencing, ethical considerations for emerging fields, and workforce transitions.

Tepring has over ten years of experience in public policy and legislative strategy at the state and federal levels. In addition to advising members of the California Legislature, she worked as a science and technology fellow for California Council on Science and Technology (CCST). Tepring earned her B.S. in computer science from Georgetown, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in neuroscience from Brandeis.
