Tahra Jirari is Director of Economic Analysis at Chamber of Progress, where she provides real-time analysis of economic news and trends, with a focus on the impact of technology on the economy. Tahra is an expert in translating complex economic data into actionable insights, engaging policymakers, industry leaders, and the public in critical conversations about technology’s role in driving economic and social progress.
She was most recently the Communications Manager at Captura Corp, where she worked to advance ocean carbon removal technologies globally. Prior to that, she served as Media Relations Director at Bullpen Strategy Group, focusing on economics, telecommunications, and healthcare, working closely with the media to highlight key research and complex data. Tahra also led policy communications for the social policy team at the Niskanen Center, working on a variety of policy initiatives geared to uplift middle and lower income families in the US.
Tahra holds a BA in Political Science, Public Policy, and English from Hunter College and an MPP in Public Policy Analysis from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. Tahra currently lives in Los Angeles, by way of D.C., and is originally from Queens, New York.
