About

Adam Eisgrau is the Chamber of Progress’ Senior Director of AI, Creativity, and Copyright Policy and lead on its Generate & Create campaign to unleash the full creative potential of generative artificial intelligence for artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, educators, and others in every sector of society.

A 40-year Washington, DC resident and technology policy veteran, Adam has served in the government, public, and private sectors, beginning his policy career as Judiciary Committee Counsel to the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. He’s been privileged to work as a lobbyist, strategic communications consultant, and policy director on the cutting-edge of such technology-driven copyright matters as the 1996 WIPO Copyright Treaty, Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and efforts to regulate peer-to-peer software technology in the Congress and courts.

He’s also fought to foster robust e-commerce and delimit domestic government surveillance. Most recently, he’s educated policymakers in the United States and Europe on artificial intelligence and a host of other digital technologies as Director of Global Policy & Public Affairs for ACM, the world’s largest association of professionals in computing.

A native New Yorker, Adam’s an art-lover, amateur photographer, and proud uncle. He majored in American Studies at Dartmouth College and is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
