Kyle Bligen serves as the Director of Financial Policy at the Chamber of Progress, where he leads the organization’s work on fintech, cryptocurrency, and decentralized “web3” policy. Before joining the Chamber of Progress, Bligen served as the Policy Advisor for Representative Juan Vargas, where he executed the Congressman’s legislative and communications strategy for the House Financial Services Committee and Congressional Sustainable Investment Caucus. Bligen also served as Rep. Vargas’ principal liaison to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve, Department of Treasury, and Department of Commerce. Before serving Rep. Vargas, Bligen worked for Cornerstone Government Affairs, the Department of Defense, the National Bureau of Asian Research, the House Homeland Security Committee, the Department of State, and the BB&T Center for Undergraduate Research in Public Policy and Capitalism, where he presented to the Society of Business, Industry, and Economics about the impact of cryptocurrency on global financial markets.
