Today, Chamber of Progress released an AI-generated song urging California Governor Gavin Newsom to veto Senate Bill 1047, which would impose sweeping restrictions on AI developers.

Chamber of Progress used the generative AI service Suno to create the rock-inspired song with lyrics like “Innovation’s edge at stake / California’s future we can’t forsake.”

Last month, Chamber of Progress joined a coalition of opponents urging a veto after SB 1047 passed the state legislature. In March, Chamber of Progress also called on members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to oppose the bill, warning that it will limit competition and slow innovation.
